Christmastime is just around the corner - it's a time to remember our loved ones...those who are with us and those who have gone Home to be with God. The Kidney Association is hosting its first annual Christmas Tree Lighting Service on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at our client support center on 1017 North Washington Street, Shelby. For $1.00 you can sponsor a light on the Christmas tree in honor or in memory of your loved ones. Proceeds from this event will go to our patient needs fund.

The Foundation-Performing Arts & Conference Center, along with the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association presents "Eddie Miles Tribute to Elvis" January 11, 2008~8PM at Isothermal Community College, Spindale, NC. Tentative date will be in March 2008 at Cleveland Mall. We will need live entertainment, volunteers for poster-making, jailbird suggestions, people to "man" education tables, lounge/canteen, traffic, band set up and tear down, etc.

Third annual benefit. April 5, 2008 at 7PM. Gardner-Webb University. Tickets are $10 in advance for stadium seating and $20 in advance for floor seating. They will be $5 more at the door. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check or money order with a SASE to 1017 North Washington Street. They can also be purchased with a credit card at 704-481-9535. Also, don't forget about "Operation Cheeks in the Seats." You may sponsor a child in area group homes and foster care to go to the show as Jimmy has a wonderful message that every child should hear.
